An Evening of Sight, Sound and Taste: B&O In The Snow
Some evenings simply come together perfectly. Last night’sB&O In The Snow exhibition was one of them.
Guests arrived at the Bang & Olufsen showroom on Collins Street to a glass of champagne and the kind of atmosphere that is difficult to manufacture – warm, elegant, and alive with anticipation. The evening was one of discovery – a chance to network, to explore, and to spend time in the company of Melbourne's most celebrated names in art and sound.
Across two levels of B&O’s spectacular showroom, 21 original works from Kristan's recent travels through Switzerland and Italy were displayed alongside Bang & Olufsen's extraordinary sound systems – a pairing that felt as natural as it did considered.
The artwork told the story of a journey – from the dramatic alpine landscapes of the Matterhorn and Zermatt, the quiet luxury of St Moritz, and the sweeping stillness of Lake Geneva, to the grandeur of Milan's Duomo, the elegance of the Galleria, and the electric energy of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Painted and sketched on location, each piece carried the light, atmosphere, and emotion of the moment it captured.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to Penfolds' exceptional wines and a spread of Italian canapes – bruschetta, arancini, cannoli, and more – ensuring that the senses were engaged at every turn. Sight, sound, and taste, exactly as intended.
The evening brought together a wonderfully eclectic group – artists, collectors, and guests with a deep connection to the European world that inspired the works on display – all united by a shared appreciation for art, music, and fine wine. Among them was our guest of honour, Manuela Erb, Consulate General of Switzerland, whose presence lent the evening a particularly special significance.
Our deepest thanks to the teams at Bang & Olufsen and Penfolds for their generosity, creativity, and partnership in bringing such a wonderful evening together. We hope it was the first of many.
