My Story - Painting
This body of work emerges from a prolonged period of illness and isolation—years in which light itself became something distant, almost abstract. Deprived of movement, voice, and the sensory richness of the outside world, colour remained one of the few enduring points of connection.
What began as absence has become foundation.
Each painting is a considered exploration of light as both subject and material. Working primarily in layered blues and purples, the compositions balance depth with luminosity—holding tension without collapse. The deliberate exclusion of black is central to the practice: not as limitation, but as intent. Darkness is acknowledged through tone and contrast, rather than overtly rendered.
The result is a body of work that sits between stillness and intensity. Some pieces carry a quiet, meditative quality; others hold a more dramatic emotional weight. Together, they form a cohesive visual language grounded in transformation.
These works are created slowly and in limited number. Each piece is an original, with a focus on permanence, presence, and emotional clarity—intended for collectors who value not only aesthetic impact, but the story and discipline embedded within the work.
