Our Gallery Opening Gala Night

What started out as an intimate evening for thirty guests has grown exponentially for a vibrant – and yet still intimate – gala event. As we count down to Oud Art’s official gallery opening, close to 100 guests are expected to attend, a number that speaks to how far the gallery has come, and how much interest surrounds this next chapter.

The evening will welcome a distinguished guest list, including VIP guests, longstanding collectors, fellow artists, and friends of the gallery, all gathering to celebrate the new space in its finished form.

To manage the flow of such a significant crowd, guests will be encouraged to move freely between the sketches and paintings located in the gallery and those that can be found in the surrounding InterContinental spaces – ensuring the atmosphere remains comfortable and unhurried, regardless of numbers.

As well as the opportunity to admire some of Kristan’s newest pieces, guests will also be treated to a selection of wines hand-picked by the team at Best’s Wines. A first-time partner for the evening, Best’s is one of Australia's oldest continuously family-owned wineries, and has been producing wine from Great Western, in Victoria's Grampians region, since 1866.

Guests will be greeted on arrival with a glass of Best's sparkling, with a Riesling and a Shiraz also offered from a dedicated drinks station throughout the evening. Fresh sushi will be served too, adding a further sensory note to an evening already rich with colour, conversation, and celebration.
