Winter wonderland collection

A visit to Oud Art Gallery is, at its heart, an invitation to discover Melbourne. The city’s iconic architecture, the sweeping landscapes of Port Phillip Bay and beyond, the character of the world’s most liveable city – this is what fills our walls, and what keeps our visitors coming back.

Over the next few weeks, however, the gallery will take a wholly new direction.

In January 2026, Kristan embarked on the kind of trip that artists dream about – a journey through some of Europe's most breathtaking landscapes, beginning in the mountains of Switzerland.

From the iconic silhouette of the Matterhorn to the cosy luxury of Zermatt to the frozen drama of ice polo on the frozen lake at St Moritz,  with an extraordinary journey on the Bernina Express; Kristan captured some of Switzerland’s most breathtaking landscapes with paper and ink.

From there, he shifted focus to Milan, and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sketch the 2026 Winter Olympics. Not only was he able to sketch some of Italy’s most spectacular buildings, including the grand Duomo and elegant Galleria; but he also produced a series of sketches capturing the electric atmosphere of the Olympics’ high-speed sporting events, rendering world-class athletes and games into stunning sketches.

Designed for both those with a personal relationship to Switzerland and Italy, along with those simply looking for a show-stopping piece of art to put on their walls; these new pieces are ready to be unveiled right here in Melbourne.

Displayed for the very first time at our upcoming exhibition in July at the exclusive showrooms of Band and Olufsen on Collins Street, the opening night will be the perfect symphony of sight and sound, where a picture tells a thousand words and transports the audience to a winter wonderland.

The  opening night has sold out, but you can see the works on display at Oud Art Gallery. Contact@oud.art to find out more.
