Sacré-Coeur Church

$800.00

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, known as Sacré-Cœur, stands atop Montmartre hill as both a spiritual beacon and one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Built in Romano-Byzantine style, its white domes and sweeping stairways overlook panoramic views of Paris. Construction began in 1875 as a symbol of national renewal after the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune, and it was consecrated in 1919. Inside, the basilica houses one of the world’s largest mosaics, Christ in Majesty, and a peaceful atmosphere of prayer and reflection. Sacré-Cœur remains a place of worship and pilgrimage, drawing millions for both its sacred presence and its stunning location above the vibrant Montmartre district, long associated with artists and bohemian life.
