Sainte-Chapelle stain glass window.

$800.00

The circular rose window of Sainte-Chapelle, high above the western balcony facing away from the altar, is a late fifteenth-century Flamboyant Gothic stained-glass masterpiece. Its vivid panels depict the Apocalypse, flooding the upper chapel with radiant colored light from above.

When is saw this window I was awestruck by the summer light filtering into the chapel and how the scenes from the apocalypse were repeated in geometric shapes - it took me and hour sitting into the side while tourists files past for selfies and photos of the window.
